THE AIRBORNE MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING TRAINING DEPARTMENT OFFERS A COMPLETE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR MANY CURRENT AIRFRAME TYPES USED IN BOTH CARGO AND PASSENGER OPERATIONS.
LEARN FROM THE EXPERTS
Training is available for a variety of aircraft subjects including engines, avionics, inspection, and troubleshooting. Our training reflects our aircraft maintenance experience and is focused on the needs of the aircraft maintenance technician.
AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES APPRENTICE PROGRAM
In the Aircraft Structures Technician Apprentice Program, personnel are trained through classroom instruction and mentorship to work on the structural components of the aircraft. This 24-week program will prepare students to obtain their repairman certificate. It is possible to obtain an Airframe license from the FAA after 18 months of on-the-job experience. You will learn precision measurement, drilling, riveting, bending, forming, rivet layout, structural assessment, and repair.
B767 AND B757 MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS CLASSES
Maintenance Systems classes, also known as Gen Fams, start at Level 1 where systems and engines are introduced at a functional level. Students learn basic ground handling of the aircraft, such as opening doors and panels, towing operations, jacking the aircraft, as well as other basic functions. Maintenance Systems Level 2 classes dive deeper looking into functional operations of individual systems, how individual components work in each system, and how they interact with the rest of the aircraft systems. Systems are broken down to component location, operation, and basic troubleshooting, including removal and replacement information for components. Operation and integration of specific engine types are also discussed. Lastly, aircraft model series and engine differences are discussed.
