Airborne-Wilmington Structures Supervisor Kristi Burns was recently named to Aircraft Maintenance Technology magazine’s "40 Under 40" list for 2021. AMT magazine recognizes 40 individuals in the aircraft maintenance industry who exemplify job commitment, industry involvement and contribution, professional achievement, and innovation.
She was nominated for the award by Trevor Dunn, who said Kristi “encourages others and promotes others to achieve their goals in this industry, giving them opportunities to succeed.”
Kristi was presented with a plaque today at a ceremony at Airborne's facility in Wilmington, Ohio.
Kristi started her career in aviation as a teen in the Wilmington sort operation. She worked on the ramp and in sort maintenance, before moving to aircraft maintenance as a utility tech, and then obtaining her airframe and powerplant licenses.
