Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services is an MRO provider that has developed a cost effective Component Repair and Overhaul(CRO) division to provide repair parts to the broader aviation industry from their 100,000 sq. ft. CRO facility located in Wilmington, Ohio.  Customers of our CRO product line receive the benefit of a facility that was designed to support our sister airlines and has been enhanced with equipment and experienced technicians to meet the needs of our 145 repair stations and expanded customer base.

The Avionics and Instrument Shops at Airborne are FAA rated for Radio I, II, III and Instrument rated I, II, III, IV. They occupy a modern facility with temperature and humidity controlled environment. The Instrument Shop is a class 100,000 clean room. The Avionics Shop features an IRIS 2000 (RF) Automatic Test Station and an Environmental Test Chamber for “live” temperature testing of LRU’s.

The Airborne Sheet Metal, Composite and Welding Shops have complete repair and manufacture capabilities on B737, B757, B767 plus DC9, DC8, aircraft. Our trained and experienced technicians specialize in the repair of flight controls, doors, panels, cowls, fairings, thrust reversers, and complete nacelle systems.

Airborne’s Sheet Metal, Composite, and Weld Shops are capable of supporting one-time, short run, and large production manufacturing requests of customer specific items.
