757 Check Utilized Several of AMES Services

WILMINGTON, Ohio - May 26, 2009 – Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services, Inc. (AMES) recently celebrated the completion of its first heavy maintenance check on a Boeing 757 aircraft. This delivery is the first from the new company.

The hangar celebration for employees included a short introduction and presentation by the Director of Heavy Maintenance, Daniel Boggs, followed by a luncheon.

The scope of work on the aircraft utilized several of the AMES core product lines including Aircraft Heavy Maintenance, Engineering & Manufacturing and Component Repair & Overhaul, all of which are critical offerings in the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) industry. Other core services offered by AMES include Line Maintenance and Material Sales.

AMES General Manager, Brady Templeton took the opportunity to share a few comments regarding the successes witnessed since its opening just two weeks ago on May 4, 2009. He extended a specific appreciation to the ABX Air employees in attendance, thanking them for their support through the start-up of AMES. Templeton further stated to the crowd of approximately 200 people, “We want to thank the members of the Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services staff for their efforts in completing this aircraft ahead of schedule. The quality and efficiency of your work on this aircraft further demonstrates the strength and depth of our organization and the value we offer our airline and aerospace customers.”
